About Me
I'm a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Alberta, Canada. I have worked in the field of psychiatry and mental health since 2002. I have experience working with various mental health problems including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, addictions, and personality disorders. Other areas of experience include grief and loss, stress management, communication skills and boundaries.

Over the past twenty years I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of clients providing high quality mental health care for many different needs. I worked for a number of years providing in-patient care for those suffering from severe mental health problems, along side a team of other health professionals. In 2006, I began providing mental health services in the community health setting. This was a transition to providing mental health care services to clients using more intensive therapy techniques.
This transition marked the beginning of my journey away from a more traditional nursing role into that of a mental health counselor. I had amazing leadership and support from other nurses specializing in mental health care in the community setting and my love for this role blossomed to where it is today. I am passionate about helping people discover their strengths and resiliency as well as helping them find relief from the suffering that mental illness symptoms can cause. The following list outlines some of the areas that I can help with:
-
Depression

Anxiety and Phobias
